Although my interests lie primarily in capturing nature and wildlife images, I try to see the beauty in all things.

I’ve been taking photographs since 1970, after receiving my first 35mm camera as a gift. However, I didn’t get serious about my photos until planning a long awaited trip to Africa in 2002. In order to improve the quality of my photos, I took classes in nature and landscape photography, as well as participating in workshops given by professional nature photographers. My work was also influenced by teachings and advice from the official zoo photographer with the National Zoo in Washington, DC.

My camera is never far from my side when I travel … after all, you never know when the opportunity for the next great photo is about to happen.
